The location was great - right by the train station but on a quite street near all the main attractions for Munich.
Very small room for four. No room for your bags or to walk around. Tiny bathroom. No air conditioning and you could only open the winder at the top so little air flow. I would not want to stay in the quad room for more than a night or two -way to small for four adults.
It is within easy walking distance from the station which enabled us to take early morning train to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. Thus we saved money from private expensive tours. The owner was very friendly.
The triple room that we had booked was a little cramped. One of the beds broke down when I (only 78 kg) sat on it. The alternative arrangement of a campcot was not very comfortable.
Visited around central Munich
What a great place to stay! The location was so convenient to the train station, and central for walking and getting around. We loved the funky decor, the breakfast was delicious, and the price was very good. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. We were lucky to have had this hotel recommended to us by friends, and would definitely stay there again as well as recommend it to others.
This is a relatively small hotel, so you get the sort of personal attention from the hotel staff that large hotels just can't offer. It is conveniently close to the train station, but on a side street so there isn't a lot of traffic noise. Great German breakfast!
I was disappointed by the "triple bed" room that I had reserved for my wife, my daughter, and myself. It was essentially a double room with an extra bed jammed in--not what I had expected. The single bed was right next to the the double bed, so to get out of the double bed you had to walk across the single bed. The two beds filled the room. Other than one bedside table and a small armoire, there was no other furniture in the room--nor was there room for anything else.
the location is very convenient: close to city center and main railway station and in the same time quiet and cosy; as breakfast is rather expensive (9euro) we didn't have one but tea and coffee was for free so you can buy food in the supermarket and have nice breakfast with hot drinks offered by the hotel. BTW the design of the rooms is really creative in some aspects: for example we had built-in radio in the bathroom :)) The man at the reception was very helpful and friendly and even spoke Russian!
Some rooms are really small; breakfast is rather expensive (but you may have tea and coffee for free); there's no twin beds only double ones.
Great location soooo close to the train station which is fairly close to the old town but really close to Oktoberfest. Good staff and great breakfast! And it had an elevator which is handy for luggage. Shower wad really good and awesome pressure!
The WiFi signal is weak in all places, the log in process is a hassle and I found it very frustrating.
Near train station and free coffee & tea 24 hr.
We were wildly impressed with this hotel. It was very inexpensive so we were wary when arriving. However - the room was great! It was way nicer than many hotels we paid much much more for in France and Italy. The concierge was so cute and passionate about his city and gave the inside info and map on everything we should see seemings as we only had one day in Munich. Great room. Great staff. Great price. Very very close to the train station and also close to all main tourist sites!
Very good location - only about 150m from the main Munich train station, yet quiet. Reasonably good value considering it was at the end of Oktoberfest, and the beginning of a big trade fair. Simple rooms, but comfortable. Friendly staff
Nice location, and the price during the festvital is good
the location of Elephant is perfect however it is not recommended for hot summer season. the staff at reception is very friendly and helpful with good english speaking.
As no air conditioner or fan, the only solution of making air is open the window. It is a bit noisy during the night and the small bathroom.
Just round corner from main train station and breakfast was nice but expensive.
The room and hotel was not as posh as the pictures show. Bit down at heel. Still very nice and would not put anyone off but there are cheaper and better options in area-Vi Vadi.
their was not much to like about the hotel the location for us was terriblethe hotel room was cleanbut tha was about it next time i would spend a bit more and go for something better.
